Project Overview

Social Justice Aotearoa is an Auckland-based NGO committed to driving meaningful change through advocacy, education, and reform. They needed a new website that better reflected their mission, work, and values while offering a platform to share updates and raise awareness. FairWeb was engaged to rebuild the site with a clearer structure, modern look, and improved content visibility.

The Challenge

SJA’s existing website lacked clarity, visual impact, and content flexibility. It didn’t communicate the scope of their work or make it easy to share updates and articles. Key goals included:

  • Redesigning the website to reflect the organisation’s mission and voice
  • Showcasing their advocacy work, campaigns, and values
  • Creating a space to publish news, blog posts, and media
  • Making the site easier to manage internally

Scope of work

  • Full Website Redesign: A fresh, modern design aligned with their social justice mission
  • Blog & Media Integration: Built-in publishing tools for sharing articles, updates, and thought pieces
  • Responsive Development: Mobile-friendly experience across all devices
  • Content Restructure: Clear menus, updated pages, and refined messaging for stronger impact
  • Platform Optimisation: Easy-to-use CMS for ongoing updates by the SJA team

Project result

  • Stronger Brand Representation: The new site clearly communicates who SJA is and what they stand for
  • Improved Content Visibility: Blog and media tools help spotlight their ongoing work and stories
  • Engagement-Ready: Users can easily access information, follow updates, and get involved
  • Positive Feedback: The SJA team was pleased with the improved design, usability, and flexibility for future growth
